What is the shape of a hockey puck?: triangle

Hearing rumors that there are some teams that are really struggling this year to get out of the gate. The latest victim is the grand falls cataracts. The well has pretty much run dry, and the days of trying to match salaries with the bous are done.

A special thank you to McPhee and Ivan for playing a big part in ruining the league. The greed and selfishness will ultimately lead to it's demise. 10,000 dollar signing bonus to Derosiers last year, and another 10,000 for Roche? That's only 2 players

And clarenville fans will argue it's other teams fault for not fundraising, but at some point they need to accept responsibility. The Salary cap is a rule, not a suggestion. Hope it's not too late

WOW....thats a lot of money! So if those two guys got that much then no doubt Sweetland most have got at least that much to steal him away from the CeeBees. Bragg was another one.....he must have got maybe half that much. Then theres Steve Yetman. Caribous brought him back from Europe ......must have given him the same amount. Then theres Churchill. Another 10 grand. But wait, dont forget Chris Hulit. He didnt come down here to play with his buddies....all money with him for sure....another 5 or 10 grand. WoW...that must be what....50 or 60 thousand dollars! Thats a lot of money. Since all aspects of teams finances are monitored by the league and now CRA as well........I wonder where the Caribous got there hands on all that COLD HARD CASH!!!!

One question....how old r u Harvey?????

Are you telling everybody on here that derosiers never received a 10,000 dollar bonus last year? And that the caribous never paid that money for Roche? For a guy who is supposed to be respected on this site Geno, it dissapoints me that you would lie

"fundraising" = cold hard cash

First of all I dont know about being respected but........anyway :lol: :lol: :lol:

Ur not getting it! Lets say ur right.....but ur not......but lets say u are. All fund raising has a paper trail. Everything has a paper trail. No team can just take money from its bank acount to give players with out a paper trail. To sell tickets on anything you need a licence and must return unsold tickets. Gate receipts are subject to HST as is 50-50 money and so on and so on. Sponsors want receipts for sponsorship money. Paper trails everywhere. CRA monitoring the books and audits by the league. All teams can possibility get their hands on a small amount of cash here and there but 10's of thousands??? Do you honestly believe the Caribous could be paying out 50 or 60 thousands of dollars to players with no paper trail??? Get Real man!
