What is the shape of a hockey puck?: triangle

Well it is The Eye again , I have to make a few comments also #1 why are we not getting the Best out of our best Players # 2 We need to come out and Hit more this weekend hardly a hit. # 3 we need to get in front of the Goalie ( D . Sparks) not Robert Slaney # 4 We need to set our lines set out Power Play Set our penalty kill . # 5 I also think Coach Crocker needs to get inside the players heads and say its time to start benching players..... we have a great goalie and we need more shots from the blue line .

We have allot of talent on this Ceebees team this year Peter George and the GM Staff has done well , Its hard to go watch a team who has this much talent and not win , I say this lets get more out of our top players of sit ya A$$ on the bench.... and play D. Sparks more , he sits on the bench and when its time to fight he has to go ....hats off to you my good man a job well done trying to change things around Saturday Night , Crocker I know you can coach but its time to tighten up the Ropes on this team either they play and produce or Bench them the fans are really getting frustrated I here it all the time on the Rail and when we loose the fans we are all done , this is not Personal I know we can win so we all got to stick together and Start winning . Go Ceebees Go

Here's my take on this comment about getting a coach like R.Pearcy. I agree but it has to be a coach who can attend practices, have interaction with the players one on one. You can have all the talent but a team has to practice. on practice nite your coach is probably watching tv in nova scotia; half of team is on ice in hr.grace and some more do not bother to show up for practice. Scotty boeman could not make a winning team out of that situation.
as for your comment on the delaney's being hogs - one of the delaney's led the league in the 1st half with 20 points. 3 goals and 17 assists i believe. Don't sound like a hog to m e. cee bees made a blunder when they dropped goalie and picked up yetman. th e goalie we had before in two games against clarenville had 94 shots and allowed 4 goals. 3 days later his bags were packed and out of there. SICK! the game saturday nite in the dying minutes mr. crocker moved dyke up forward. delaney's should have put a stop to this because they run the team. so i guess coach and coaching staff did not think that there were any players on 3rd and 4th line any good to fill that position. a team has got to want to win for the fans and also the coach (it cannot be demanded) lets cheer for our team no matter what the outcome. it will be turned around.

Not even a speech by their trainer after the second period could right the ship on saturday night. Heard outside the Ceebees dressing room, their stickboy 'Summoned the hockey gods' asking for help. It didn't work as the Ceebees are now 1-6 at home. With two weeks before their next home game, things aren't going to be any easier with the Royals coming to town. They thrive on the small ice and if a stickboys speech can't get you going what will?

Fans aren't happy and fingerpointing has begun. Yes some players play more than others that shouldn't, but put yourself in the players skates and tell me that you'd say to the coach, "NO I don't want to go out again." Cant' blame the players that they get too much ice time.

Joe's post hit the nail on the head. When the effort isn't there from your best, you won't win. The role players show up every night. When's the last time Dan Sparkes had a bad game or didn't give an effort? never happens. A change is needed to spark this team, fans are tired of reading Keith and Cory say they are going to turn it around week after week in the compass and nothing changes.

When the Ceebees were here, Sparks is a hard working player, He never gives up or anything, The Delaney's are puck hogs and wanna do it it their self for the most part, They really runs the team, If they go to Crocker and say "I wanna go out on the power-play for the full 2 mins" than Crocker will say ok go out there, The Delaney's are good players, They gotta pass more & stop hogging the puck

IMO they're lacking systematic play. Not much of a setup rushing the offensive zone with usually one player trying to do it all only to end up turning the puck over. Most times their version of the dump and chase is horrible becasue the opposite winger is no where close to the blueline and can't race for the puck in the corner. The PP looks horrible really, especially when watching and comparing to the Cats in the same game. IMO on a 5on3 you'd be foolish to try the point shot. They need the quick passes and try to get the backdoor pass to the open side. Way too much holding onto the puck. Way too many times we seen the D make the first pass and the F tried to do it all only to lose it creating an opposing odd man rush.

Our 15th game and the lines are still all over the place. I understand that Hulit just came aboard but it's the coaches duty to know who to pair him up with before he plays. We've all seen him play in this league so we know his style and ability. The PK looks like the same lines less a player. Where's the leadership? A timeout early in the 1st period Sat night was good to see but come on, who's motivating and elevating the players? Sparkes takes on Power, no response from team. Brutal. That kid deserves a better shot than he's getting.

Yes I'm a true fan and I will continue to support the team, but this is extremely hard to take in. Not because 'we're used to winning' like some say from our AESHL days. Has nothing to do with it. It's just the lack of overall performance, from the bench out, win or lose.

I like the thoughts of the Royals brass in benching Tobin. I think the CB's should consider something similar. In lieu of healthy scratching perhaps knock a few players back a notch, maybe all the ways back to the 4th line.

Some great suggestions and I pretty well agree with all the above. When it comes to the powerplay Id suggest getting pucks to the net more often. You see Theriault, Dyke, etc go for the big wind up and that takes time, sometimes a quick shot can be just as dangerous creating deflections and rebounds.

Boys hang tight, you have a great team! From what I was told the games this past weekend could have went either way. I still think it will come down to the cats/bous /ceebees as herder champs.
Yes your team has to get it together, like joe said the players have to want it.
