Would everybody be understanding then and say well guys we have to respect the players opinions and let the cats get them we will all pass.... Don't get on with foolishness that the cats should have passed.

If yetmen meant so much to clarenville and could only play with the bous why didn't they draft him first? Instead they took obrien hoping that they would then get yetmen for nothing because he only wants to play for them.

Are you sure that the bous wanted yetman or for that matter do they still want him for a part time player , I hope not and I don`t think that they should give up a top player for him ..I am not getting on with any foolishness by the way, I agree with what the cats are doing , would do the same thing but not complain about it nothing wrong with drafting a top player so another team can`t get him . Oh yes and the only complaints I am hearing are from the fans not the team exc...I don`t think that the cats should give him away and make that team much stronger ,I still think that the cats should have done their homework with Yetman and the Bous with Mior

My only real argument in this situation s that teams shouldn't have to do homework. If a player is part time that's all you can do. But In yetmens case , a player shouldn't have the right to say I will only play here.

I know for a fact that O'keefe and escott wanted to play with the cats. But they were drafted and suited up with gander. They are playing awesome for that team, that's the way it should be

I know the Royals talked to two players who would not come West so they had to bypass on them. IMO is they enter the draft they should go where they are picked or be prepared to sit. Lot of players wanted to go to Grand Falls and Clarenville for a chance to play for the Alan Cup.

The Caribous did do their homework! He was contacted before the draft and agreed to play with the Caribous. Unlike Yetty, Mior signed his card at the Caribous camp a month before the season started. Things changed for him after that. Yetty still has not signed.....

And won't sign either so as I said before cut our losses and let him sit cause if he can dictate then next draft every player will have his team assigned prior to draft day.

I know for a fact the Cats asks a player that wasn't interested, the Cats response was they would draft him anyway, go figure!!!!! Not every player is dreaming of GF-W.

If a player is not prepared to play for any of the teams that might draft him, he should not enter his name. If he does but then refuses to play for the team that choses him then the team should be given another pick and the player be banned from future drafts and not eligible for signing by any team.

The present situation makes a farce out of the draft and happens simply because there are no long term consequences for the player in question.

Well said and couldn't agree more. I believe most fans and anyone with anything between their ears would agree that if a player puts his name in to play hockey then he intends to play hockey.

I agree geoguy if you want to play hockey put your name in the draft,if you want to play for a certain team don't put your name in the draft, remember yetman played last year for a team that's not in this west central leaque so if he want to play in this leaque put his name in the draft and play for the team that picks him, if not don't put your name in the draft, let him sit all year or go play in the east leaque
