Actually guys hes not entirely incorrect. I do recall viewing the minutes online back in the day, they are a matter of public record if someone wanted to take the time to sift through the archives they will find all the details.

"not entirely incorrect" So what about the comment is correct and what is incorrect? The amount? the year? Was it straight cash? Forgivable debt? In kind contribution? Combination? The posts are very short on details. Of course the biggest question to someone not from Grand Falls-Windsor is "So what??"

I'm not sure if my memory is correct or not.. but I THINK i recall at some point, that the cats weren't paying any rental fee's for their ice time... now I cant' recall if that's even remotely correct or not.. BUT if it was at one point, that technically is the town contributing in kind to the team...

......incorrect. But, what's wrong with a town not charging or giving a price on rentals to provide spin offs for the town anyway. Funny how the tax payers of GF-W are NOT the ones here bitching about how their tax dollars are being spent. Thank you soooo much for picking up for us and looking out for out best interest... Great that everyone's looking out for us.....or is there some jealously there ?

It has nothing to do with bitching or jealously. Some prominent (Cats) poster are saying it was BS, untrue, etc. I was only coming to Flyers24 defense when he was attacked on it. While he may not have been correct on the amount there was some sort of financial support from the town and it is indeed in the archived minutes. If the tax payers of Grand Falls were fine with the hand out.... then its a none issue.
