Lets start an argument here.... I will simply list top 6 forwards of the Northeast Eagles ( lets pretend they win the AESHL ) and I will add the top 4 remaining forwards/ 2 defensemen of the league (at the moment) creating the "all-star" team the AESHL could potentially send this way to challenge the Cataracts....NOTE: I am using the Cats because that is the team I cheer for. Not assuming the will win.
Forwards
Chris Sparkes Chris Mooney Andrew White
Mitch Bragg Brian Clarke Liam Myers
Jeremey Barron Robert Barrett Jeremey Nichols
Robert Slaney Johnny Caul Sean Wadden (threw him in at the end)
Defense
Daniel Cadigan Matthew Walsh
Scott Marshall Jeremey Kavanagh
Mike Druken Tyler Gale
Does anyone actually think this team can win even one game against the Cataracts ???
If so explain how ? I think even if Yetmen plays the 5 best games of his life the team has no chance.

If that was indeed the team that represented the east .......they would be totally blown away by the Cats....... unless their goalie stood on his head and then they would only lose by 5 goals!

Even you forgot Lee . I read a post on AESHL and someone said that when ever he is out on the ice he controls the play , also said that he would be the top d man in the league if he stayed out of the sin bin .. Go figure hey... I think that the West teams are missing out on some good talent , just thinkLee might win the best D man award if he was playing in the west By the way this the joke of senior hockey ..Don`t hurt your ribs laughing
I've seen all the aeshl teams play this year and I've also seen the Royals and Cats play in Clarenville. Based on my observations I believe you are absolutely correct.canonball wrote:This team or any team from the ECSHL would not beat any team from the CWSHL,

Nobody is suggesting the AESHL is as strong as the west central. That would be foolish. I think that every team in the west is better than any team in the east...in the long haul . Could a team from the AESHL strengthened by six players, just like the West Champion is allowed strengthening players for the Allan Cup, win a game in the Herder. The answer is of course they could .canonball wrote:This team or any team from the ECSHL would not beat any team from the CWSHL,
I don't want to give a lot of thought to naming a team because I already did that earlier but here are some names from my note ...
James Cadigan, Danny Cadigan. Jeremy Kavanagh, Andrew White , Mark Yetman , Mike Halitski, Shane Boland , Mike Lee, Tyler Gayle, Robert Slaney , Escott, Druken , Parfery , macRoberts ,Scott marshall , Chris Mooney ,
Chris Sparkes , the other goaltender Kyle Downer , Robotham, Wadden , Bragg ... a few more good players kicking areound .
Could they win a game? I think so ..... They are all playing for the love of the game. They all are absolutely committed . Why couldn't they win a game ?
I'll tell you this ... they are better than you think they are ....

And why do you believe that players in our league aren't committed or don't play for the love of the game. Is it just because they receive a few bucks. Also remember that many of the guys you named above played in our league but were released as they weren't good enough to stay around. Did they become scrupulous men once they signed in the aeshl.Hockey Eyes wrote:Nobody is suggesting the AESHL is as strong as the west central. That would be foolish. I don't doubt their drive, however, I can't see a skate where players who are used to skating and playing at a certain level can suddenly step it up .
Chris sparkes is leading the league right now and is used to chasing the players in that league. I seriously doubt that they can step it up another notch and keep up with the sibleys Brennan's and wicks type players.
