Hard to believe that the Royals and Cats played such a great game last night. Today was a horrible performance.
Give the Cararacts credit they rose to the task and won a big game when they needed to.
What a difference 24 hours make
It's hockey & shows how balanced this league really is. Maybe be the cats got a few bounces &/away they go. Same here in Gander this weekend. Great game last night as Flyers pulled out a win. Today bous got the bounces early & made the flyers pay. Flyers fought back to within one but the bous turned the momentum around & put them away. Even the referees let them play..

This is true. I do think that any team can win on any given night.

Cats win 9 - 1 in the opponents barn, with 5 players missing and have 7 penalties to the Royals 4
I wouldn't call that 'getting the bounces'
Cats were the only hockey team on the ice, Royals didn't show up .. too bad because there was a good crowd for Sunday ...Dangle wrote:Turk wrote:It's hockey & shows how balanced this league really is. It don/t take much to draw the fans out, even all the banter on here after the game, great to see,Dangle wrote:That's good to hear, mummer. I believe lasts night's performance brought the fans out today ....even the off-ice fanatics

I believe its quite obvious that most NL hockey fans have an appetite for the kind of game that was played last night. I don't think they'll support the new fangled ballet style non-contact hockey. I'd drive 3 hours for a game like last night without hesitation. Just my onion!
