"They were both probably dirty head shots if they came from Short." If you accuse someone of "dirty head shots" then in hockey parlance that makes them a head hunter. The same as if I said someone was always driving over the speed limit it would be quite acceptable to say I accused them of being a "speeder". You're trying to weasel out of this by arguing semantics rather than substance. You were challenged to back up your comment and back with nothing.
Whats so funny , AN import is defined as a player who never played minor hockey in NL .. Flys in collects a pay check , that's exactly what those AHL teams are comprised off .. I never said any of those things that you are assuming I mean ... I'm not comparing anything .. Just stating that there are far more imports competing inside the overpass than outside of it .. including the Gushue rink who by the way did our province proud, just like a lot of import hockey players who have played in many communities outside the overpass.. what I find funny is that after 70 years of imports playing senior hockey in NL you and others think its a dirty word .. looks like a double standard to me .. stay tuned..HockeyFan29 wrote:I find it funny that after 20 years of professional hockey in this province you still think the AHL teams are made up of a bunch of "imports". What did you expect the Maple Leafs, Jets, or Canadiens organizations to sign a bunch of Newfoundlanders to play for them? Is that what your saying? Are you comparing an amateur senior hockey league to the best development professional league in the world? Is that you're trying to say Tomcod? Because like half of what you say on here it doesn't make any sense.Tomcod wrote:Oh I forgot its inside the overpass , speaking of clues lol.. stay tuned..
The AHL does not define import as they do not view any players as imports. You won't see import in their rulebook. You will see the foolishness of Veteran Rule though. Anyways I believe local senior hockey defines import, does it not? Why compare apples to oranges?Tomcod wrote:Whats so funny , AN import is defined as a player who never played minor hockey in NL ..
