I'd say attendance was over 2500. Not many empty seats.

I think were going to have to comes to terms with the fact that if there is ever any hockey to watch in central in the coming years that will be the style of hockey. It is certainly old school senior hockey and that seems to be what a big chunk of NL's population wants to see. We have seen that talent, speed, high end hockey is not working out as we are about to close out on our last season of it here. Something has to change. With any luck we have some type of hockey and hopefully it is not a full out goon league but instead a close league with any team being able to win on any given night. oh and lots of local rivalry.

It’s not like the west league is a goon league either. Sure they have fights, but they also have some quality players in the league.

I wouldn't call it a goon league based on the couple games I seen. Friday night turned into a gong show, maybe the score was part of the reason. The hockey was OK, comparable to the east league. But at the end of the day, at least a couple thousand fans were willing to pay to watch it, so good on them. The sociables were good. Didn't bother with the frozen fries :mrgreen:

Beers are always good, frozen fries tho? Not good. And I’d take a league comparable to the East.

How much was a ticket to the game?
