head shot... r u kidding? elbows were down, he didnt leave his feet, he didnt charge. it was a perfect solid hit that too bad caused an injury. reffs and lines were brutal on both ends this weekend.
If you're talkin to me, yes it was a head shot and a head doesn't have to be an elbow or a charge. It's exactly what it's called, a shot to the head which in this case was from a shoulder. You still have to be responsible.woodsplosive wrote:head shot... r u kidding? elbows were down, he didnt leave his feet, he didnt charge. it was a perfect solid hit that too bad caused an injury. reffs and lines were brutal on both ends this weekend.

with the wings "d" as poor as it has been, loosing hynes will be huge for these guys. Picking up goodyear will not be close to replacing Hynes. It is unfourtanate but, like someone else said unless they get a VERY GOOD d-man they're pretty much done
Poor?

Dont expect to much from Goodyear. He has very little experience playing at this level. Played some games with the Caribous a couple of years ago but never got much ice time. I dont think hes played competitive hockey in a couple of years except for half a dozen games of jr with the Alavon Jr team two years ago. Hes a big kid with a big shot if he can get it on the net but will most likely spend a lot of time in the penality box. Definitely not in shape at all to play Sr. hockey at this level. He did spend some time in the Maritime Jr league but never played alot......spent more time fighting then anyhting elce.Harem Scarem wrote:The wings have Wharton assuming he shows up again. Spurr, Shears, Rumsey, Goodyear & Hayes. It might be a good idea to go after Bussey and I guess if it comes down to it Barker will have to go back on D. He looked pretty good on D during Sundays game. This is the main reason I stated in an earlier post that the team might be better off getting a 3rd import D man and drop Drew. Obviously that is not going to happen so they might want to pick up whoever they can get their hands on so at least they have some depth in case of more injuries. In the meantime 7 will not be too bad as long as they can avoid the injury bug.
Spurr Shears
Wharton Rumsey
Goodyear Barker
Hayes
They do have some depth up front so that should help if Barker is needed on D.
I know Mitch, hes a good kid and he'll be ok. I wish him well.
Why are the Bous upset with this signing then?Caribous insider wrote:Dont expect to much from Goodyear. He has very little experience playing at this level.
