I was told that Deer Lake is looking for shared revenues already due to the new found attendance at the CEC. Did not seem to be a problem when they were in the finals.
Havent heard of that one.

Did hear if Cats dont make Herder they might be in a spot on financial trouble, APPARENTLY, and this is what I HEARD, they're in the hole right now and with 2 road games to start off the Finals might be dicey moneywise.

Royals I heard as well have a commitment from whatever the head guy is, he's starting to work for a team already so that by the time November hits, he has the players he wants and a solid roster. Thats alot of recruiting time.

Wings need some D and a couple new flashy forwards. Some young blood. Wall is a good goal tender but he needs some good D men to lower the shots. Drew faded from great to mediocre as year went on. Import goalie should always be a big factor.

Royals like Wings need to fill some void's, hit the D and I would say look into a new goaltender. Murph is good but I think if like said before, they are looking around early... Someone better could prolly be found as an import.

Cats will be back next season.. Count on it.

I don't think the Cats will be in financial troubles.

The management / coaches / volunteers have done an amazing job with this organization and the fans have shown steady support. They deserve a great round of applause.

Unless something dramatically changes, they WILL be back.

Barry, you're correct. The Cats are fine and will be back next year. Don't mind all the negative crap, it's probably from people that are hoping that the Cats wont be back, or just trying to start rumours. Everthing is best kind in this way.

Didnt mean to stir the pot, only something I heard.

The more the merrier, in a sense. 4 team's is a pretty solid league and losing 1 is bad enough, regardless of which team.
You can always tell the Newfies in Heaven, they're the ones who still want to go back home!

4 is ideal but we went with 3 before. I would like to see six teams that way you are not facing the same team to often.

Oh yeah I know it was 3 before but atleast with 4, theres usually 2 sets of hockey games on the go at a time and its extra games come the play offs.

I agree if another, or even 2 teams came back into the fold it'd be really nice but what teams could? Stephenvile and Gander had teams before didnt they?

Not much chance of that happening. The only chance is a province wide league with 7 or 8 teams. You never know now that Joe mannard is gone.
