Good that he apologized but I see the point. The bottle isnt much, but it can get worse when or if it wasnt under control. Just something to monitor. You never know what can happen if 2 fans have a few too many and exchange some words.lacedup wrote:thats funny i was talking to a fellow avery from north west brook sunday during the game caring on back and forth but when the bous scored their third goal he jumped up and when he came down he came up with his hand and gave me two smacks on the back and said what do ya think about that to which i replied do it again and their going to be hauling you out of here but i never went crying to the security cause i gave him a chance to opoligize which he did and by the way those smacks were harder than a plastic bottle oh and by the way i never got him kicked out but i could have

Look....I think ALMOST everybody would agree that the action is unacceptable - PERIOD!!
But I think the injustice being referred to here is that a true DIHARD fan is going to be made an example of, and for that reason I question the suspension. This is an unfortunate incident for sure, but I'd ask everyone to think of a dihard fan for your own team and if this were them how you would feel about it. Someone who has supported this team thick and thin for many years. I'm sure she realizes shes made a serious mistake and Im also sure that her LESSON has already been learned!!!! I have my doubts if shes ever been warned for this type of behavior, but I dont know for sure. If she hasnt been warned then I question the severity.
This is a fan who wears the Cats emblom on her sleeve!!!!!! - Im sure this is absolutely breaking her heart. And the worst part is that alot of us will witness many similar, sometimes disturbing incidents, this weekend. All without punishment, and all similar to scenes that weve seen played out in arenas everywhere many times in the past. Come on people - have a stern talk with her and let her know that if she get out of line again shes done. As I said Id say as dihard of a fan that she is shes been tortured since she got this suspension.
And if this sticks.....I for one would be very disappointed.....and from now on I expect this will be the standard and that similar incidents that staff/security are aware of will be dealt with with the same zero tolerance approach!!
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CATS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Some of you Cats fans have a short memory, last nov 14,2009 when a guy climb up on the glass shouting at Lewis, SOME of you want him ban for month. IMO, its one thing to razz back & forth with each other, like at the Jeo last Sunday, we all had a blast with all the fans around us, but to make contact or throw something is crossing the line, & to say that the other person should be ban for saying things is crazy, don't forget who got the best razzing guy around, the Cats, the siren guy , so should he be ban for saying things too, I don't think that you would ever see in a million years ,Dave make contact ot throw anything at anyone.
If they want to kick her out then thats there call. But man oh man there have been far worse things happen in the Joe alone over the years. Why now?
They have set a very low standerd and they better keep it up. Imagine if she tossed a plate of fries, a weekend in the Bishop Falls pin.

okay, i'm sure i'm going to have someone rise against me here and say my opinion is wrong, but here it goes anyways.
i feel the punishment was far too harsh. first timer trouble maker, kicked out for that game, warned that more sever action will be taken if the incident happens again. second time, season ban, name on a list to be watched. if by chance the third incident should arise, a life ban from the arena. that seems much more fair.
sure the elderly lady threw an empty plastic bottle, definatly not acceptable. but through the past, last year, and so on, different areas, some which are arguing saying this ban is right, their home rinks had fans who did a lot more than a plastic bottle. how soon we forget with no action taken.
the other side, throwing an object is physical assault, regardless how much BS it is, because honestly, its an empty plastic bottle. but, verbal assault is also an offence, not saying her actions are acceptable, but if she was taunted, and taunted, this ban should work both ways. how many times have i been in another rink and be chirp and told to step up, to F off, called down, and i'm not even a loud fan. haha i just watch the game, if its a good goal i applause which ever team scored.
i personally cannot see how those who say the ban is right can say it with a staight face, maybe its because of the rival fan and you think it looks good, who knows. but anyone who says this punishment is not too harsh, must be a fool.

Great post , but one thing I don't agree with,& that is, just because don't care the same opinion as someone else, don't mean they should be call names Ex.( fool). This is how this all started in the first place . Two difference people having two difference opinions & not knowing the right way to handle themelses. We are all fans at the game cheering for our teams,& this stuff should be happening. I think I have to agree with you on the way this punishment should be handle.Just_the_Facts wrote:okay, i'm sure i'm going to have someone rise against me here and say my opinion is wrong, but here it goes anyways.
