My problem with the tickets for mileone is this, i purchased a reserved ticket at the stadium in hr. grace for this hockey season, i was told then that my ticketes for the herder games would be picked up by management, there are 200 reserved ticket holders in hr. grace,we were told we would all be in one section sitting together (like the bous fans), but yesterday when i went to pick up my tickets, the manager didn't have enough tickets, he had to fight for what he got, our tickets are all over the place and in the corners of the stadium. Yes I'm glad I have tickets by why do the cee bee fans always get the S@@@ end of the stick?
and ya can't blame it on Joe this year. If it wasn't for the amount of cee bee fans attending the hockey all year, there would be no east league(hence no money for the league) I think its time for the powers that be to remember that.

I agree something smells not quiet right, we were told the same thing that the cee bees had a bunch off tickets together and season ticket holders would get first choice then any left over would be sold to the public, Our tickets for friday and sunday are in the corners no where close to the cee bees bench and saturday seperated one in one corner the other in the direct opposite corner and the other on the gold line in a another corner. I thing someone got there hands on the tickets before they got to the stadium, If only 200 season ticket holders they could have easily been seated together with the tickets that they were suppose to be getting. I feel tampering somewhere.newfiebuttercup wrote:My problem with the tickets for mileone is this, i purchased a reserved ticket at the stadium in hr. grace for this hockey season, i was told then that my ticketes for the herder games would be picked up by management, there are 200 reserved ticket holders in hr. grace,we were told we would all be in one section sitting together (like the bous fans), but yesterday when i went to pick up my tickets, the manager didn't have enough tickets, he had to fight for what he got, our tickets are all over the place and in the corners of the stadium. I agree it's not right. I'm not a reserved seat holder as I felt there was no need to as I've never had an issue getting tickets to all the games in years past. I have tickets to games 3 & 4 and had an opportunity last evening to get tickets for game 5 but after hearing last night about some of you reserved seat holders not getting tickets I informed the person selling them to sell them to one of you instead and I will watch the webcast. Besides, I had plans to spend Easter Sunday with family, though it will kill me not to be there!!
One thing though, the reserved seats are with S.W. Moores Stadium, not the CeeBee's org or the AESHL. Sounds like the manager of the stadium screwed up and never booked the tickets early enough, probably because they didn't know if the CB's would actually make it to the herder. SS would have been in the same boat if they won. I don't know all the details of what happened so I'm only speculating. It is pretty crappy though that all the "real" fans who beat it to the S.W. for every home game can't get tickets for the herder. In all fairness, AESHL should have recognised how many reserved seat holders CB and SS (if any) had and decided to hold which ever number was greater and sold them to the winning team. Continue to protest, they need to know it's not right.

This is an issue with the Avalon East. The executive should have purchased a 1000 seats per game and then given them to the East winner once the AESHL is decided. From the executive of the East representative can sell them to their own fans and reimburse the AESHL executive. No one would be out money and the fans of the AESHL would be taken care of. A 1000 should be more than enough to accomodate the fan base of any east team when you consider the size of all the rinks in the AESHL.
Now I'm also gonna defend Mile One. I'm a hot seat owner. Any event that goes on in Mile One, I get first dibs. I pay good money for this, from what I understand more than a season ticket holder in the AESHL or the WCSHL. I'm sorry if fans don't like it, but that is not my fault.
The AESHL is well aware of what they are moving into when they choose to use Mile One. The lack of initiative to control what they can (ie. buying a portion of the remaining tickets) really boggles my mind.

Same thing out this way with the tickets, Mile One started selling herder tickets about a month ago when none of the teams were decided. I think most of the tickets were sold to hockey fans in general who don't support either the East or West, just what to see some good hockey....then when the teams were decided they were saying that games 3 & 4 were almost sold out which left the East & West supporters no choice but to scramble and get what was left, which was scattered all over the stadium...one seat here and one seat there type of think. No preference given to the League supporters but make sure we sell out....first come - first served.

I know for a fact that a good few of the regular ceebee fans bought tickets on the first day, just not the reserved seat holders because they were told they'd be guaranteed tixs. I bought 4 for games 3 & 4 online as soon as they went onsale and was prepared to go even if the SS went onto the herder.goboosgo wrote:Same thing out this way with the tickets, Mile One started selling herder tickets about a month ago when none of the teams were decided. It is the AESHL's decision to hold the east's home games at Mile One. The AESHL is simply renting the mile one facility.. they don't control the tickets. Mile One Centre is a business in itself, and thus will run their operations in a way that will best profit them. Sorry guys, its the way of business.
If the AESHL allowed the winning team to choose their venue, some may choose their own home rink, and then you'd stil be in this boat with even LESS tickets available. It is the nature of the beast this time of the year with soooo many people wanting to take in the Herder Championships..

If Mile One is Cee Bees Home venue they should have first access to the Mile One tickets, Caribou's and Some of their fans wanted best of both worlds, the reason I call them greedy and selfish. Clarenville should only have access to 650 tickets rest should be availabe to Cee bee fans
Bleacher, we only have access to 650 seats as you mentioned.......The cee bees as far as i know have access to approximately 2000 tickets i believe, the rest were for sale well in advance by Mile One before the West or East was decided......as soon as herder tickets went on sale alot of hockey fans from all over especially St. Johns area just wanted to take in some good hockey no matter who The West and East Champs are.......then you have fans from the last 4 teams in East and West taking their chances and purchasing seats when they were available so that they wont be left out in the cold....
Plain and simple, no Organziations fault especially the Caribous organization......Mile One tells them where there seats are...End Of story
Well I bought mine on line at admission.com Sunday morning after the bous won the west. And I was at Fongs motel in Carbonear when I bought them. I did not wait to see if the bous would have any I went ahead and bought games 3 and 4 online. And my wife called the box office on Monday and bought game 5 tickets which were not availabe on line. What you guys are saying is a bunch of CRAP
