Rusty you could be correct about trying to sell tickets. I talked with many long time fans and after being kept in the dark all season last year they will not waste their money again unless they know what kind of team they will have. It is not about winning or losing but they want to know what they are paying for before the season starts.

As soon as someone don't agree with your point of view they are too negative to be a fan of the red wings. Man you need to realize you are not always correct in your opinion about the wings. The team that you listed above is not much different from last year so you better hope Mark is back to his old form, Mior plays the whole season, and the top 3 d-men signed stay healthy. Otherwise it could very easily be a repeat performance from last year. I followed the wings since they played in the junior league so I know when things are looking good and when someone is trying to paint the picture brighter than it really is. JMO

What about wheh Dalton peach hackett lee a younger Langdon and the list goes on played with the mighty wings when they were almost unstopable. I think you need to take your red colored glasses off.

Im not so sure about that line up.... but... I guess you never know....

Personally I think the Wings have a long way to go before they ice a contender.... however I think they are on the right track for a team rebuilding.

But we all know what you know about hockey now don' t we....LOL....Catch expalin to me why you would think this team has a long way to go before its a contender....This should be funny!!!

Anyway my opinion (I think it's accurate BTW) is that the Wings are missing a first line that compared to the Bous, Royals, Cats

Players of Lauzon's, Whitehead, Welcher, Tobin, Mcallisters skillset.

Harem, I agree completely with your assessment, and believe your point of view is accurate.

I also remember last year when you voiced your concerns, I do believe you received the same opposition.

I do remember that last year, you were right with your prediction.

Like I said, you guys are definitely on the right track for a team rebuilding, you seem to have some decent D signed (although what do you have to go with them as a #4,5,6) and a great goalie which gives you something exciting to look forward to.

This however is far from being a contender since you miss that scoring power of a Tobin, Mcallister, Warren type 1st line. The players you have there now are only good enough for a 2nd or 3rd line.
