No celebration after goals!? How about after each cats goal they play the last post and have a moment of silence.

go cats go
Well Casey using his 4th line is classy and I think were all in agreement he is a very classy guy.
And as for Penton here im going by your user name and I know who you are, you can't really talk about the rules of hockey and the code per say. Seeming you have never laced up the skates yourself. It's one to celebrate, but to go down on one leg and fist pump yea I would of punched the guy to. But to cheer yea giver, that comes naturally, your happy you scored. I have been on both sides of this and when playing in JR against Sville we used to win 15-0 sometimes and players on our team celebrated, I used to tell them off my own teammates. It's wrong. Every player/fan knows that. Ask Bobby Orr.
And Even you want to chirp Brad I highly dout if the Wings are losing this weekend he will hurt someone seeming half the team are friends. Asking someone to fight after what he though was to much celebrating, and then getting tossed for saying something to the refs isn't dirty.

Ok I will have to agree with you on the Ricey thing, he didnt really get on with any dirt this weekend and maybe im **** on Ricey a bit too much. However the fact that I have never laced up a pair of skates has nothing to do with my knowledge of hockey nor my opinion. The bottom line is this is just my opinion and reallty it doesnt stand for anything hahah but I dont think the Cats celebrations were over cocky by any means and I certainly dont think they justify getting punched in the face. You can try and blame it on whatever you want, then Wings were gonna get dirty no matter what, the goal celebrations had nothing to do with it. If i was up 3-1 and the other team went after my top defense men ( Spearing lapointe ) I would'nt get dirty back id keep playing hockey and putting it int he net which is exactly what the Cats did.Blast97 wrote: And as for Penton here im going by your user name and I know who you are, you can't really talk about the rules of hockey and the code per say. Cats took the bull c**p from the Wings for a longtime. The shoe is now being laced on the other foot. Since the days of Pittman the Cats had to put up with the Wings antics. Time have changed for the BETTER.
Deer Lake has always played this way, do what it takes to win. They won't change it know. I think personally they need to do more of it, but by this I mean, hit harder take the smaller players out of play not out of the game. Open ice hitting, get over the red line soft dumps and then run there D through the boards (cleanly) and then beat them downlow, there a slower team but a bigger team. Get to the front of the net take the hacks slashes just like the Cats are doing the PP's will come there way sometime and then they have to take it to the Cats that way.
are you serious buddy?? well.. i cant totally disagree with you on the langdons but i doubt that hurting players was top on their list for that day. as for rice.. from what I seen, he hasnt been up to nonsense since playing with the cats. so how can you get on here and say he was there sunday to hurt players and not play hockey?? have you been watching hockey the last 3 years?evanpenton wrote:Really?! After a digusting display from the Red Wings you start to complain about a lack of respect?wingsdiehard wrote:cats have young players like earle, brennen and roach who are around 20 year old rookies in this league who need to show some respect, those little pukes are out there diving around and celebrating when its 6-1, 7-1, 9-3, etc. Time to smarten up and show some respect, or your gonna get put in your place sooner or later. That sh** isnt gonna fly when D Langdon is around, a guy who is 40 years old and played in the show for 12 years. Good hockey players yes but have some growing up to do and all 3 other teams know it
What about the spear into Lapointe's ribs after they were up 3-1? Did Lapointe show a lack of respect to your all mighty wings? The punch in the mouth on Earle when up 5-1?
The multiple Slashes and hooks on everyone ????
Once they started to lose they went after the top D man in Lapointe, then after Earle and Whitehead. Dont preach about respect.
In your books when a player scores a goal and skates on one leg while pumping his hand ( Roachs celebration ) that warrants a sock in the face or an attempt to hurt any of the top players on the team? For someone who talks about hockey knowledge and maturity you should grow up and learn how to accept responsibility. Deerlake acted childish and the lack of respect came from the Redwings not the Cats. Deerlake have always been known as the dirty team and they showed their true colors Sunday afternoon.
Im actually afraid to see what will happen to the team if they win Saturday in Deerlake because we all know the Langdons and Rice will come out Sunday to hurt the players, not to play hockey.
