No hockey for the CWSHL

As expected but now it is official, the league will not be moving ahead with the 12 game series between the Cataracts and Flyers.

How u know that?
Gander posted it on Facebook. Basically said they had a roster put together but couldn’t get a game day roster in place for last weekend or this weekend due to players having work and other commitments so they pulled the plug. How dare those players have a life outside of senior hockey!

No surprises here really. We all knew this was going to happen. Gfw as much as they want to say it, they didn’t have enough players either. Whiffen is going to be away working, they have 4 D and 7 Forwards listed. So this is all on Gander.
Most fans here in GFW knew this wasn’t going to happen at Xmas time. And good nor should this league or series have went ahead. Let’s the Blades play their season out and hopefully get some fans. They have their playoffs starting this upcoming weekend.

The ECSHL is paying the big bucks to take players from the CWSHL. A successful venture I would say. Jealousy will get them nowhere as the Flyers and Cats will be back with bigger and better teams.
