There has been alot of talk about how Blackmore was a great player that anytime would love to have, I have no solid evidence but I heard from what I consider a reliable source that he didnt make the cut, also apparently Pearson did make the team.... Should be an interesting few days !

ok
Both Blackmore and Pearson came up through the Mt Pearl minor system and played junior with the blades, i think Pearson played away in the MJHL. I think they are good enough to play in this league, i guest other people thinks different. They should be with the Blades.
Was Blackmore the guy who played on the Green team, smaller white helmit, if so Im not surprised he didn't make it, watched one practice and the intersquad game and he didn't impress me at all. Not to say he isn't good, just a bad camp.

If you can stand the wait I'll post this weekend's lineup tomorrow. To steal Tomcod's line "stay tuned".catsfan4 wrote:full roster will be in the advertiser tomorrow i say
Steve Pearson:

166pts in 4 years in the MJHL .. a good stat to bring to light is he had 108 Assists our of the 166pts. So he knows how to DISH. Also the last 2 seasons in the Pearl he had 52pts (28G,24A) in only 37 games. more then a point a game player also a stat that sticks out to me is 24 Assists in 37 games. So if the Cats choose Pearson over Blackmore, he plays most games, buys into the system Casey has in place and plays a TEAM game. If so i see MAJOR upside to signing Steve and making the cats that much more DANGEROUS. guess we will find out tomorrow when the roster for opening night is released. Go Cats Go
