not sure of who if anyone evaluates refs on a regular basis but the reffing in gander has been brutal the last couple games....same ref in both situations....the refs need to learn the rulebook alittle better so they can make decisions instantly and not have to gather together and discuss every close call....two games in a row calls have been made and reversed and in the case of last night call made, call reversed, call reversed back to original call with a penalty included....we have top notch players in this league so we should have top notch refs as well.....jmo

being a ref in this league is NO EASY TASK... .. Gander fans, you'll get use to the nights when the reffing appears to be brutal.. its happened to EVERY team ... just something you learn to live with..

i never made up this topic to downgrade anyone....just we have to have refs out there that can make decisions and not keep reversing them....dont make a difference if they were both against the flyers, ask the cats fans and see what they think about cannings reffing.....you can only gain the respect of the players and fans if you make decisions that are true and fair and dont go reversing them a dozen times a game....
When a ref makes a call, becomes unsure if it was a legitimate call, has a huddle with the other officials, then reverses his original call because the other official doesn't agree; man this echoes nothing but a lack of confidence and if you don't have confidence in your calls i don't think you should be out there. Wasn't there a shoot-out goal reversed in Gander a few weeks ago, unbelievable. Rec league ref.
