What is the shape of a hockey puck?: triangle

Here is my predictions on the playoff and the Herder so feel free to post yours as well.

Cats vs Ceebees I am taking the cats in 5. Their offence is deeper and defence is also. Goaltending will be good on both sides.

Caribous vs Royals I am taking the Caribous in 4. This team has to much offence and their defence is much better than the Royals. Churchill is much stronger in net then the Royals goalies.

Herder Prediction is the Cats in 6 due to be very hungry to bet this team this year. AJ will be very strong in net. The cats will stay more discipline and use a three line offence that is on fire this year. Martin and Luke will play huge minutes and will shut down the big guns on the caribous for the most part.

If the Royals goes down in this series then their defence would be their downfall like someone said early. Our fire power is pretty good and capable of scoring goals to keep up with the bous, and goaltending is much better than earlier this year good enough to actually get the job done and steal games for the squad. The defence is what going to be the problem in the long run. Right now the series leaning more towards the bous but would not be one bit surprise if the royals take it. I'd say game 6 for either team, 4 is abit too early in my opinion but who knows it might happen. If the Royals can somehow take 2 at home this weekend coming up, they may have a chance other wise it will be a short series unless the boys really step up their game.

I'm taking cats in six with every poster on hockeytalk predicting GFW drops three straight games after dropping there first one.

goaltending will be superb on both sides.

Defence matchup goes to cats as they are 6 deep with Lapointe, Gallant, Hounsell, Brent, Greene,Hoffe. alternate cantwell as opposed to CBN being four deep with O'brien, Gosse, Dyke, theriault, alternate fred earle.

Offensive matchup goes to cats unless the secondary scorers really step it up for CBN.

Overall depth and role players shutting down the other clubs top players goes to GFW as they have more speed and youth.

Coaching I'm not gonna speculate. we'll see who can out coach who when it starts.

I'm expectin a barn burner with CBN coming out saturday night with something to prove against the top dog.

Did not see where every poster on hockeytalk had predicted that the cats would drop 3 straight games ....

I do believe that they are the top dogs to win this this year .. After going all season with only two or three losses

Whether it get lost in translation or not. The intent was to say when the cats lose a game in the series people will be saying that the team will drop the following three games as well.

I'm expecting a hard fought series between Cbn and gfw.

I don't see western getting by clarenville. At most a minor scare to the bous when western wins a game in that series but anything can happen in playoff hockey and that's why neither series is a lock for either of the four teams

I agree with you when you say that both series will be hard fought and yes any team can come out of this a winner .. I think that this is the best year for teams to be evenly matched ...It makes it all that much better for the winning team and their fans.. If this playoff for the herder goes as expected ( hard fought and to the limited)for both series and both rounds than we the fans are the winners

As my old buddy use to say, ( Squid Connolly - deceased - former player with the Shamrocks and Blue Caps back in the 80s ), the Harder the Road, The Sweeter the Champagne!

With the talent that will be displayed in the weeks ahead There's no way the fans can lose by the time the final whistle blows. Should be exciting, interesting and nerve wrecking

It would seem a real act of faith to think the CeeBees can beat the Cataracts. Grands Falls finished with TRIPLE the points of the CeeBees. The Cataracts are one of two teams in the league that spent a load of money . Those two teams finished first and second in the standings. 41 points for GFW ...14 points for the CeeBees. It would be the greatest upset since David knocked out Goliath if the CeeBees won that series. The Cataracts are stronger in every area of the game ...except goal.
The American writer Damon Runyon said it best - "The race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but that's the way to bet."
I'm not a Cats fan but if the CeeBees win a game I'll be delighted. That they could win the series is just not on . I'd like them to win because the Herder would be at Mile One ... but " If wishes were horses ...beggars would ride ."
