NHL Schedule October 19, 2019

Five Canadian teams are in action today as the NHL schedule features some great match-ups.

One anticipated game for today the Boston Bruins vs the Toronto Maple Leafs.  Game is scheduled to start at 7:00 EST

Other Canadian Teams in action will see:

Vancover Canucks vs New Jersey Devils
Montreal Canadiens vs St. Louis Blues
Ottawa Senators vs Arizona Coyotes
Calgary Flams vs Los Angeles Kings

Who is your picks to win these games?

Here at NL Hockey Talk we’ve picked the following in these match-ups

  • Boston Bruins
  • Devils
  • Canadiens
  • Coyotes
  • Flames

Even with the Bruins’ Patrice Burgeron listed as day-to-day, the Boston defensive crew is heads and shoulders above that of the Leafs.  They will shutdown the Leafs high flying offense who is missing John Tavares who suffered a broken thumb.

The New Jersey Devils have struggled, but they have shown signs of breaking out in their last two games.  Look at them to have a fine defensive game against the Canucks and take this one at home.

The Montreal Canadiens are showing signs of improvement his year.  Carey Price has played well in net and the young Habs squad are showing signs of gelling.  This game will be close but we give the advantage to the Canadiens.

The Ottawa Senators are in a rebuilding year and while they have some great young talent, the Arizona Coyotes are greatly improved with the addition of Phil Kessel.  The Coyotes are also very much improved defensively and coming off a big win in their last game.

The Los Angeles Kings are horrible.  The Calgary Flames have the grit, size, speed and scoring that will prevail in this match.
