Dawson Mercer: 1st Star Honours

The Drummondville Voltigeurs picked up a 3-2 shoot-out win over the Victoriaville Tigres in the QMJHL action. The Newfoundland native showed his talents, scoring a goal and adding an assist in the game & then picking up the shoot-out winner to lift his team to victory.

Victoriaville started the scoring at 8:50 of the first period when Same Pare scored his second of the season. Mercer added his 12th goal of the season at the 12:08 mark of the first period, a nifty powerplay goal.

Mikhail Abramov gave the Tigres the lead n the second period when he scored his 6th of the season. The Drummondville squad responded when Remy Anglehart scored his 9th of the season, with Dawson Mercer picking up the assist.

With the third period and OT being scoreless, both teams were forced to a shoot-out. Mercer scored the only goal, giving his Drummondville Voltigeurs the win to bring their season record to 9-4.

Dawson Mercer’s point total for the season sits at 22 points (12G/10A) in just 13 games.
