St. John’s Junior Action

On Friday Night, the the St. John’s Junior Hockey League was in action with a pair of games.

In one match up, Trinity Placentia Flyers took to the ice against the Northeast Eagles. The Flyers defeated the Eagles by a score of 6-5. Justin Edison scored twice for the Flyers, with teammates Joe Toope, Jordan Pomeroy, Lyndon Thoene and Mitch Lawler adding singles. Goals for the Eagles came from Kyle Rumsey, Stephen Kennedy, Ryan Ricketts, Kyle Champion and Tyler Anthony.

The second game saw the Southern Shore Breakers beat the Conception Bay North Stars by a score of 6-5. Cameron Forward, Mark Lushman, Kieran O’Driscoll, Brendan Houlihan, Logan Brothers and Chandler Warren scored for the Breakers. Ryan Petten had two goals for the Stars, with Mark Barrett, David Hibbs and Luke Akerman adding goals for the Stars.

On Saturday night, the St. John’s Caps and Southern Shore Breakers took to the ice with the Caps squeaking out a 4-2 win over the Breakers.
