At the Christmas break, the Southern Shore Breakers sit atop the standings in the East Coast Senior Hockey League (ESCHL). The Breakers have a record of 8-0-1 with 17 points but have played 3 more games than the second place teams – the Clarenville Caribous and the St. John’s Caps.

The Caribous record is 4-2-0, with just 8 points but have 3 games in hand.
