Southern Shore Breakers vs Clarenville Caribous

The Southern Shore Breakers defeated the Clarenville Caribous by a score of 5-2 on Saturday, January 25, 2020.

The Caribous Chad Earle opened the scoring just after the puck dropped at the 21 second mark, making it 1-0 for the Caribous. The Breakers evened the score just 3 minutes later when Jeremy Nicholas scored to make it 1-1 after the first period.

In the second period, the Breakers made it 3-1 after Stevon Fowler scored at the 5:34 mark and then Brandon Pye added a power play marker at 10:57.

The Clarenville squad pulled to within 1 when Jeremy Masters scored at the 1:31 mark of the 3rd period, making it 3-2 for the Breakers. The Breakers would get an insurance goal from Blake Dalton at the 12:31 mark and later Jeremy Nicolas would add an empty net goal at 19:45, lifting the Breakers to a 5-2 win.

Mark Yetman got the win for the Southern Shore Breakers, making 39 saves on 41 shots. Redmond Hunt took the loss for Clarenville, making just 22 saves on 27 shots.

Jeremy Nicholas had 3 ponts for the winners (2G/1A) while Chad Earle & Jeremy Masters added single goals for the Caribous.

CeeBee Stars vs Southern Shore Breakers

The CeeBee Stars were dumped 9-1 by the Breakers on Sunday action in the ECSHL.

The Stars Cody Batten got the loan goal for the CeeBees at the 1:26 mark of the first period. The Breakers Daniel Cadigan would later even the scoring at the 16:07 mark of the first, making it 1-1 after the first period.

The Breakers would never look back, scoring 6 goals in the second period and adding 2 more in the third, making it a 9-1 thumping.

Daniel Cadigan of the Breakers had 6 points (2G/4A) with his teammate Bradon Baird collecting a hat trick. Blake Dalton added 2 goals for the winners.

Conor McCarthy got the win for the Breakers, stopping 23 of 24 shots. Riley Akerman took the loss for the CeeBee Stars, stooping just 38 of 47 shots.
