Royals Sweep Cataracts

The Western Royals completed their weekend sweep of the Grand Falls-Windsor Cataracts , winning on Sunday in the Newfoundland and Labrador Senior Hockey League.  The Royals scored three times on the Power Play to win 3-0.

While the Cataracts hang on to first place in the league, there is now only 1 point separating the Cataracts and Caribous.

The Caribous finished their sweep of the Mount Pearl Blades this weekend, winning by a score of 5-1 over the Blades.

In other action, the Eastlink CeeBee Stars thumped the Gander Flyers by a score of 10-3.

 After making moves to secure some top name talent, the CeeBees found themselves in a position to make a great run for the playoffs.  Their performance this weekend shows again they are major contenders despite sitting in fifth place in the standings.
