NLSHL Playoff Format Announced

With the teams in the Newfoundland and Labrador Senior Hockey League (NLSHL) in the stretch to make the playoffs, the league has determined the playoff format that will be used.

The NLSHL would like to advise fans that the playoff format will be as follows:

The first place team in each division will get a bye in the first round. The 2nd and 3rd place teams will play a 3 out of 5 series over two weekends with the winner playing the 1st place team in a four out of seven series.

The first round will start on February 15th weekend with 2 games followed by a third game and forth and fifth if necessary on February 22nd weekend.

The divisional finals will begin on March 01 weekend with 2 games followed by 2 games on March 08th weekend and game 5, 6, and 7 ( if necessary) March 15th – 17th
