The Clarenville Caribous held off the Northeast Eagles to pick up a win in East Coast Senior Hockey League (ECSHL) interlocking action.

The Clarenville squad jumped out to a 1-0 lead after the first period against the Eagles.  It was the second period that saw the defending Herder Memorial Champions score four goals, to take a 5-0 lead into the dressing room at the end of two periods.

The Northeast Eagles staged a comeback, scoring four times in the final period but could not overcome the huge deficit from the first two periods.

  The Caribous added another goal in the third to seal the Eagles fate.

Kevin Reid, Keith Delaney, Ken Mahoney, Colton Collins, Justin Pender and Mason Reid shared in the Caribous scoring.  Alex Snow, Paul Cliff, Liam Myers and Bruce Power replied for the Eagles.
